Is this forum dead?

I have been following BB.com from 2008. I believe it's the biggest BB forum online. I think it was at its peak around 2010 with legend's like Serge Nubret posting here

Now I'm back a decade later and this forum seems to be dead?
What happened?

Yeah he began posting about mid-2009, gave lots of good advice, and shared a lot of experience.

Then he stopped posting for a month... And then suddenly put up this creepy post. I remember the exact words,

"My children have poisoned me, they want to kill me and take my money. I'm in hospital. Please help!"

That was his last post here... A few days later there was news of his death

I do believe the forum is dead compared to what it was just 5-10 years ago.
But that's the overall feeling of forums by forum owners and the few members who still communicate through forums.

Forums in general are dead. Tech companies have monopolised the internet. I don't remember the stats but a handful of sites soak up the vast majority of internet usage now. I remember small businesses used to make websites and chit, now they just use ********.

Yes, my constant posting.
But I haven't been around since 2015 and the above was a different account.
Forums are just DOA in the modern social media driven age.
