"Let's Shut Down Our Schools for a Few Weeks" on my Nextdoor Feed

Our schools closed for the last two weeks and reopen tomorrow. By a stroke of rotten luck, we are getting 40 cm of snow tomorrow, so the schools will likely close. Again.

I really feel for parents. The last couple years have been so rough.

Vaxxed and boosted and woke up today with a slightly scratchy throat and then a couple hrs ago started sneezing with no let up and nose running a bit..........this is it, Rona gonna take me, good bye cruel world.

I tested positive.

That’s rare for Omicron on the smell and taste loss from what I’ve read. Delta is still out there though too. Either way I’m sure you’ll be good in a few days. Guy I worked with loss his sense of smell for a couple weeks though after recovery.

I tried some of my wifes broccoli last night. First time I've ever tried it. I did it to make the kids laugh and even though it was tasteless screw that weird texture!!

I'm rolling at noon and again at 6pm. I'm 11 days past first symptoms so I'm allowed to roam free w/o a mask. Might hit Wal-Mart maskless and strike some conversations

My main night partner just text me saying he's going in to get tested as he has all the symptoms now. We are on fire here in NY w/ it. I know less people who arent sick than I do those who are right now.

Any idea how long the taste/smell thing lasts? Googled it and the answers are all over the place.

Masks, no masks, vaccines and still everyone getting it, but no lockdowns/shutting down, this is how things should have been in 2020, I said it then, got called all kinds of BS, yet here we are.

I'm not talking about you, just thought your post was interesting and it seems everyone I speak with all have it too right now.
