I can only comment on my little corner of the world right now & there are plenty of empty shelves at Wally World as well as the smaller local stores. Milk & bread are easy to get & fully stocked but a lot of canned items are missing. Meat is also low on quantity.

The Horror!
You know you can buy 200 teabags at Dollar general, make sun tea with 6 teabags in a gallon of water in your window, then refrigerate it? Taste better as well IMO.
Canned vegetables went from $.90 a can to $1.50 here. No shortages, and meat is plentiful. Cheap canned vegetables at Dollar General are hard to come by, but their quality has always been iffy anyway.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

I notice the chips are never fully stocked at some major supermarkets
No problem at Costco though, but I hate Costco corporate mandating masks.
Also instant food/restaurants have really inflated their prices. At least 25% increase compared to 1-2 years ago. Biden really needs to be put in a nursing home quick. Any government officials who is endorsing this covid scam needs to go srs.

Dude you know me all too well, becuase I actually don't go shopping Patty does so in that aspect you are correct lol
However I do go to the bodegas to buy stuff and if you know NY there is a bodega in every corner and their shelves are full.
Patty does food shopping once a week and she hasn't told me anything about having a hard time finding any of the things she typically buys.On the list for Bannukah

Ok so it depends which region of the country you live in based on the replies here.
Hopefully none of you will experience this but with a storm coming sunday i expect the worst.
A buddy suggested Asian markets and small mom and pop stores as alternatives, so i may do that.

Sounds like a good time for me to launch my new online food delivery business. I am only going to sell bacon and call it Hamazon. Of course free delivery with a Hamazon prime membership

Ya, I've never had an issue with them before. Bando mentioned canned veggies have gone up but I paid what I always pay last week for those - .49 at Weggies. I'm a nerd and used to keep a spread sheet of grocery costs etc. Wish I was still doing that to see what the % increase is for us.

It will get worse.
Democrats be all: It's the Russians.
Republicans be all: It's the Chinese.
The dems will blame Trump. The reps will blame Brandon. (Granted, this is happening on Brandon's watch, so he owns it.)
Truth is what we are seeing is a result of two things:
a. Gubmint intervention. Unnecessary rules and regs have destroyed just-in-time.
b. Central banks. Federal reserve brrrr to infinity created this inflation. It's only inflation this time. We will soon see HYPERINFLATION. It becomes increasingly difficult for businesses to be in business when the price of $hit keeps going up.
The brrrrrr began on Trump's watch. Republicans will deny this. The brrrrr and more regs continue under Brandon.
So while statists will continue to blame the opposing team and continue to smoke that hopium, praying their team will save the day,
truth is it is all by design by the same man behind the curtain that controls both colors.
We are entering a financial reset SUPER CYCLE.
Get ready. Quit blaming the other side. It will suck the giant hairy goat ballz.
The good news is that if you know the game, you cannot be played. This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

Shelves reasonably stocked up here in Toronto. Depends when you go. There are times when they look kind of empty ish but that's pretty rare. Prices are wild though...

Howdy XTB....
Cindy and I just came back from the store.....which is just across highway 183 and within walking distance even with my cane.
The supply chain effect has just started rearing it's ugly head here and of course the store is upset at so many basics being undelivered
No O.J....not even one bottle and no PASTA!....good thing we're stocked up on that one.
Meat dept seemed to have it's normal stock and plenty of bacon/filet mignons.
Have a great weekend weed hoppers....USMC: 1965-1969

So I went back to the store and now only *certain things* are still empty.
It is about 85% full at the local Safeway and Giant supermarkets, whew. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!
