Live in the basement of my house
Could it be possible I have high radon?
It has laundry room next to it
Just bought a detector from Amazon to test
I also used to live at an old apt building during college 2nd floor. Landlord gave radon and lead packet but never tested it

Parents did similar with their house. I built my house about 100 yards from my parents and did some of the mitigation work up front - basically put perforated pvc pipes under the concrete in my basement that connects to piping in my ceiling. I was supposed to go back and do a Radon test. If high, we'd put in the fan to create the negative pressure. My cost was a bit less, but I'm not finished yet either. Really should go back and get the test done - I have 3 kids that sleep down there. Just an easy thing to forget about. It's not usually a problem in our area, but occasionally it pops up. Radon is really hit and miss though. Some areas have more of a tendency than others, but you can still get next door neighbors where one house is high, and the other isn't.
