Nothing like a legit heavyweight matchup. Getting amped for this fight!
I'm going with the French Prince by TKO in the 7th
Gane is so chill and down to earth. I would love to see him KO Jones after winning the heavyweight title.

Who knows with those two. Both likeable guys too. I'm disregarding any impressions of some of these clips they been replaying lately and the feud with the ex-coach etc. Think Francis will eventually catch him with something. Watched a technical breakdown and it showed that the way Ciryl comes in and moves away sometimes would leave him vulnerable to those potential uppercuts of Francis. Will be fun to watch either way.
In the meantime I'm watching Lex Dude and GSP dude giving us mortals some advice:

Big match. Gane knows how to box better than Ngannou and both have massive power. Ngannou has improved a lot and he is not afraid of Gane, so whoever gets in the first big punches might win.
It will not go the distance.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Solid analysis and thanks for the link. Awesome clip! I'm still struggling seeing GSP with hair, but I feel sorry for anyone who tries to fuk with the dude.
You're probably right, Marky. I just rewatched Gane vs Lewis and was impressed with how Gane engaged at angles and maintained ample range. He fights very relaxed and yet focused. For sure going to be exciting!

I don't think I've even seen Gane fight and if I did I don't remember so I'd be guessing with any prediction.....
Stipe's been pretty quiet so it seems he's out of the picture as long as Francis is top dog..
With a Gane win perhaps the divsion is reinvigorated with a Stipe/Gane showdown..
I've never been a big fan of heavies in either boxing or MMA...
I'm braving the mean street streets of Oceanside Ca and making the trip across town (12 pack in tow) to my buddys house to see Moreno/FIGUEIREDO and if the Francis/Ciryl fight if good then that's just a bonus.

It's LITTERALLY been YEARS since I've been this AMPED for a ufc FIGHT.
The more I seen of this Gane Dude, the more I'm pulling for him. Nothing against Naggy, I just wanna see a well executed, disciplined strategy overcome raw power and result in a glorious KO.
Impossible to imagine this going to a decision. Surely the Combat Gods will be please with tonight's offerings.
Enjoy the fight and the card, fellow Just Bleed disciples.

Well, maybe they won't actually fight. Maybe they will meet in the center of the octagon, realize that violence is not the answer, pull up a couple of chairs and talk about their feelings. Herb Dean will facilitate the sharing, and provide hankies all around for the ensuing waterworks and cathartic release. I certainly can't wait to see it.

I was pretty surprised that the crowd held it together and didn't start in with the boo's sometime in the second round...
I didn't pay for it, but I did I'd be pretty pissed to see two guys who had trained together in the past and were freinds. go in there and be reluctant to actually hurt each other..
Francis has been barking about the money he's not making and not being treated right, but after Saturday night, he makes my list of fighters I Won't give a sh*t about seeing.

haha! Same. To me, looked like Francis was gassing after the 2nd, but the dude found another gear which was damn impressive. While not explosive, I enjoyed the contest. Would have loved to see Cyril more aggressive and creative in his striking, I think fighting on the big stage with the stakes so high could have threw him off. He never quite looked comfortable, relatively speaking.
I felt mostly the same until I watched an interview with Ariel "the Nose" posted after the fight. Big Naggy kinda won me over in that interview. Fuk, if I was his size and athletic, I'd prolly be a complete prick!
Here's the interview in case u interested.
yes, Ariel is annoying, butt he asks good questions.

I believe Jon Jones would beat him if he implemented a grappling-heavy strategy, but JJ hasn't really done that in years, and I am guessing wouldn't to that with Francis. Likely JJ would try to outpoint him in the stand-up to a boring decision like he has done in his last few fights. Would love to see Francis knock him out though (assuming he even stays in the UFC).
