when I tie it together "dry" you always have the occasional fly away and it doesn't look that clean
if we look at Terry Silver here for example it almost looks like a Lego hair piece how it's all kept together
what's the best product to use here?

Miring use of Terry Silver as example.
I use salt spray when my hair is damp and it makes it more controllable but not shiny like you are looking for.
Pretty sure a bit of gel brushed in or wetting your hair before tying back would work. That or for filming they probably use hairspray once it is tied in place.B - 230

nohomo
shampoo and wash out conditioner 3 to 4 times a week, let it dry naturally (no heat)
I don't use any styling products atm
I have some salt spray lying around somewhere which I used when growing it out
shiny isn't really what I'm going for but I figured this was inevitable when using products lol
isn't tying it back when wet bad for the hair?+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Look into a higher quality shampoo and conditioner
I use pureology
These are their shampoos and conditioners
https://www.pureology.com/shop/
I like the purple one, the large bottles of shampoo and conditioner are 60 on Amazon
This is a good fly away spray

fuaaark, no massive issue though but it's just not as "clean" as I'd like lol
always figured heat was the biggest contributor to fly aways and frizz so I quit blowdrying and started letting it air dry
will have to investigate products, should find something readily available in Belgium since I don't feel like importing mundane stuff lol+++ miscin' at work crew +++

Seriously...this will change your hair life. Google “hair gel mascara wand”.
I have a lot of little baby hair fly aways and gel and hair spray never give my hair a nice finish. I bought one of these online thinking it was a gimmick and it makes your hair stick down perfectly when it’s in a pony tail. Way better than any other products I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. Hair stays soft and doesn’t look greasy.Last edited by Lunu; 01-07-2022 at 02:27 AM.

I don't put anything in my shiny multi colored natty hair.
Shampoo + conditioner every 4th or 5th day. Dry with towel a little bit then blow dryer like 5 mins on the setting with no heat on.
If it's long enough, you can tie it pretty tight like the pic in OP. But if you want it 100% slick like that lego look, you need some pomade or your hair must be quite oily...
Btw, a lot of "frizz" hair are just shorter hair that are growing out again after falling out, like in the shower, by using a brush, etc. You can't escape frizzy hair

that's a bridge too far (no offense lol)
prefer pomade over wax in general but worth a try
not in Belgium itself, mostly used over here is the German one
yeah it's not like it keeps me up at night but I was just wondering how "they" do it lol
it just got to a lenght where I can start tying it back, last time I had long hair was 6 years ago and I got sick of the "work" and went full buzzcut/baldcell for a couple of years lmfao
how do you prefer to tie it together, straight back or with a middle part?

I do a mix between straight back and middle part, mainly due to having a little too much of a maturing hairline for my taste, as well as the hair on the back of my head is still not that long to get a "perfect" tie just below the "manbun" tying area if that makes sense. I am not too fan of the manbun tie, so I try to tie it a bit lower. Too low and I look like some music teacher which is whack.
Sometimes it ends up with a middle part because I actually walk around without the hair tied quite often. Naturally it folds with a middle part if that makes sense, god damn my english is beyond fuked today
Anyway, enjoy long hair before you get older and with high probability will lose too much hair for it to look good. that's why I am doing it now, soon to enter my 30s
edit: Id like to add that I never liked Zlatans look because it is way too slick, making his hair appear very thin with 0 volume. I like a style where its tied yet you can see some volume in the hair at the same time. If there's nothing, it's just time to cut it IMO. You just don't have enough hair anymore

That’s wild they don’t have Amazon and have Otto instead, which I can’t find an English site for
Anyways something comparable there would be a shampoo designed for cancer patients. That’s the original reason they made pureologySuperHercules crew
