Post Covid Return to Lifting - Any Experience with it?

Hello all - How long after having covid did you return to lifting? (i.e. number of days after having no more symptoms? number of days since testing positive?)

    thanks!

If you search the O35 misc you'll see a few threads on this - generally folks started lifting as soon as they felt able. It will take some time - which varies of course - to start really feeling energy etc. Some have noted that strength returns more quickly than endurance (i.e., failing on the third set when they usually do 5 with no problems etc).
    Good luck and have patience!

Thanks man.... this is my third or fourth day of symptoms, which so far is only a cough and stuffiness; no fever, no shortness of breath. I just want to make sure I don't go back too early, even if I feel fine, and cause some heart issues I have read about

One of the recommendations to come out was two weeks after symptom free.

Myself I've had symptoms since October. Keep testing negative (until two weeks ago, tested positive) but feeling like crap. It's a cold, it's the flu, it's covid. Who knows, all I know is it's been three months, I feel like crap and my lifting has gone to crap. Worse, I can't even finish a freakin' beer.

I don't know if I had covid. I have had some colds this winter that take forever to go away. Also one January and June of 2020. I developed atrial fibrillation. I just go easy on cardio but make sure to get it in. I can't advise for someone with full on symptoms. I read as long as 3 months. I bet that is more for people doing intense cardio. I am working out at home till this Omicron wave passes. I was undecided and tempted to just go get it, but I think I'll get the Omicron vaccine in March instead. I hate being sick.
