    Paul demayo's quads

I don't see what would make his quads the best ever. Maybe it was just the pictures I've seen and they were big but nothing seemed that good to me on them. If anyone has any pictures that could show why people say they were i would like to see them.

    Wink

Me either. I feel the same way about Dorian's back and calves and Rich Gaspari's conditioning. Way overrated. And what's the deal with Tom Platz?? His legs were average. It was all lighting and camera angles. IMHO

I was just joking with you. I think he probably didn't have the muscle maturity that let's say, a Platz had. One thing about many BB today is that they appear to get huge, but lack the ridiculous separation in the legs that Platz had. As John Parillo would attest, they need more fascial stretching I would surmise.

Quadzilla was the first guy to come along since Paltz to have that sort of leg size. It was the early 90's don't forget so try to find an early 90's bb'er who had legs/calves like his? No one else - look around.

Today, of course we have Branch, Mustafa, Paco etc etc but in the early 90's it was RARE!!!! And 80's bb'ers had weak wheels so Platz was a GOD.

branch warren doesn't belong in the same sentance with paul. or prest for that matter. pauls legs were massive. when he was in contest condition they were insane. he was no where near his maximum potential, either. yates' back was impressive, but not so far ahead of everyone like it's made out to be. it's more the thickness that was unreal. but if you don't think gaspari's conditioning was unbelievable you need to get your eyes checked. i think the only guy who was more shredded was andreas munzer.

    You've said it perfectly.

If someone wants to make the case that DeMayo or Platz didn't have the best quads ever, that's fine, but how anyone could think that both men didn't have EXCELLENT leg development is beyond me.

If you want to make amends, then you should publicly state your view that Paul DeMayo had terrific quadriceps. Maybe even start a "Paul DeMayo quadriceps appreciation thread". That should atone for the sin of doubting DeMayo.

100% right. I forgot about him and there MIGHT be another lesser famous guy or two from the late 80's early 90's who also had killer legs but I think we can ALL agree that Demayo was the most famous "huge leg guy" since Platz and now I'd say Branch is the most famous "huge leg guy" although Paco and Mustafa's might be better on any given day.

Watch this, about half way through, to see Mustafa's quads - crazy http://www.mesomorphosis.com/store/v...jordanian.html

    Here's some Platz pics

Pauls legs are very very good but unless you have seen warrens legs in contest condition up close in person then you should before you go saying something disrespectful like that. Platz legs were awesome but they threw off his symmetry big time.

    No mention of Big Ron?

He's probably got the biggest legs of all, AND he's the only guy who has an upper body to match. All he's missing is some lines and seperation.

Rons legs are big but did you see the cuts in that tom platz photo. Crazy quads nooks and cranies every. SICK. I think Platz had better quads.

2/11/2022 - We had Demayo at our gym back when he was in his prime. I assure his thighs were some of the biggest, baddest thighs of all time. 35 inches of shredded, striated, vascular hams is what we witnessed. You'd have to witness it live to appreciate the mass. I've seen photos that do him no justice. Peace....
