Y’all roll your sleeve back up! Number 4 announced today yay. As of now they are saying you will need one every 5 months, but we now how that goes….I’d plan to start getting boosted monthly. No need to worry though, some jobber in India has been vaccinated 8 times already!

In one of the earlier threads I think I had the worst side effects of anyone that posted from my 2nd (Moderna) dose. I had 18 hours of fever and chills, followed by months of difficulty smelling or things smelling wrong.

I could smell a plate in the cupboard and it would be fine, but the next one would smell like a wet dog. My wife said they all smelled the same, like nothing. Changed dishwasher pods, same thing. It finally went away and I'm fine now.

I'm required to get a booster of Moderna for work, scheduled the following day off for recovery (I'm getting the jab on a Sunday).

If I have side effects like that again it will be my last jab.

Got mine two hours ago; no issues yet.
First two were moderna with some headaches and some achiness, so far nothing from the Pfizer boost. Will update if that changes.

Went mountain biking for a few hours Sunday, then sailing for 5 hours after. Yesterday did heavy squats.
No side effects noted.

Pfizer 2 hours ago so far so good.

*6 hours, arm sore AF, if that's it I'll take it.

*Hit me in the middle of the night, chills, body aches fever, having to take a second day off of work.

Ran into a small problem a couple weeks back, so my booster is now on the 25th, though Dad got sick after going to pick up my bother in law’s Sister with their Mom and my niece. We aren’t sure if it’s Covid since the BiL’s sister and her husband (who is still at home) found out about being positive on Friday and Wednesday (after she left town) respectively. My sister has him lined up to get tested and he’s thinking that it might be strep throat, but wants to be sure. He’s been staying in the living room all weekend and I’ve been sticking near by working in a few model car kits in a neighboring room in case he needs something.

I’m doing good so far, though Dad did end up with Covid after all and I had to take him to the ER this morning , I’m waiting for him finish up as he’ll be able to come home today too. He turns 80 next week and last Thursday was the 2 year anniversary since Mom passed.

Still breathing. Sleep schedule is way off from spending 40 hours in bed dozing in and out. No changes in sense of smell like the last time which makes me happy.

Dang Bando, sounds like it hit you pretty good again if you were in bed for that long, good news on the taste and smell though. Weird how this stuff hits everyone different

I think I'm an outlier, I haven't read about anyone else with these terrible reactions. My Son says "that's good Dad, it means you have a strong immune system"

I'm thankful the first dose didn't affect me at all, had that one on the way to a weekend getaway with my Wife.

yeah, the strong immune system thing has been said even by immunologists.... but reactions just seem so idiosyncratic to me. Hope you keep feeling better.

My 'adopted' daughter got Covid this week and has been pretty sick. That makes 3/5 in my family who've had it, two who were vaccinated.

Thanks guys, Dad is feeling better already, so he should be on the mend as of right now. The ER Dr told him he had Covid about a month ago and had symptoms like Dad had and already knew how to approach Dad’s situation. Think I may have had a mild reaction to my booster, but nothing more that slight aching, chills, and exhaustion, though we were in the single digits yesterday, so that might explain away the chills.

Finally got a booster shot. My arm is barely even sore. No side effects at all after 12 hours.

Decided to get it after recently learning that the owner of a longtime fitness equipment manufacturer passed away of covid back at Christmas.

EDIT:

Day 1 sore arm

Day 2 sore arm, slight headache, loss of appetite, overall feeling blah so I did a lot of sleeping

Day 3 still feeling a little blah, slept for first half of the day, woke up and felt pretty normal again by 3pm

Good stuff on the booster Gregg, most people that I heard with side effects, myself included, they started prior to 12 hours, so hopefully you are out of the woods with side effects.
