I lose weight far easier in the summer as I am active for longer, and cycle more, but I feel in a good headspace now. That's the biggest key to my weight - if I feel bad, I binge.Last edited by CBRIT89; 12-27-2021 at 01:51 PM.

Hey guys, I think this is the first actual post I've made on this board but I'm in! I went so far as to put a deposit down on bariatric surgery but I decided to give it a go on my own one more time. I've had good success with dirty keto and IF but always get lazy and put the weight back on. I'll be focusing on counting calories and macros and meal prepping this time.

I’m in! It’s been a few years since my last one (lost access to old bb account so I’m using a new one). I’m ready to put the effort into getting back in shape. Im at the highest weight I’ve ever been and the most sedentary I’ve ever been. Im so glad I found this thread and that I still have time to join. These threads really helped keep me accountable in the past so thanks to those of you who will be running this. It’s always fun having a community of people that are on the same journey and can relate. Good luck all, let’s do this!

Go on then, I'm in. This is the first post I've made in a long long time, I never posted regularly the last time I was active on the forum though.
I've got to admit, I've neglected self-care, exercise and diet for a few years now and I don't feel great about it, so 2022 seems as good a place as any to get to work. Since becoming a dad a couple of years ago, like most new dads I've had barely any time for exercise and found lots of excuses to skip workouts and let my diet slip etc, so I soon fell out of the habit of regularly. I've tried a few times to get back to it but have never stuck with it. I'm hoping that holding myself accountable on here will help.
I don't know my weight right now, I will weigh myself on the 31st. If I had to guess I'd say almost 13st, which would be the heaviest I've been at 5ft 8. Body fat...pushing 25%. I feel lethargic, heavy and have been developing aches and pains that can't all be attributed to age!!
I've pieced together a garage gym so I've no excuse, I've an understanding and supportive family so the only thing holding me back is myself. Looking forward to seeing how this goes!!

Ok, today is the last day of my winter vacation and tomorrow it is back to work and now continues fat loss also. This morning scale said 94.1 kg and that shall be the starting weight for this thread. 1.6 kg gained in 10 days. I think it is mostly water weight, but maybe some fat too. I am hoping that most of the 1.6 kg will go away in a week or so, but we shall see. Minimum goal for this thread is to reach 89 kg, but I am aiming for 0.5 kg loss per week.
