I think it’s a scheme for rich people to get richer and for people who are easily manipulated to waste their money. I mean I guess it has value if your an ultra hipster and want to brag to your friends about how unique you are, but other than that what’s the value? For example, as far as utility, if you and I have file that does exactly the same thing, except the hash for your file has convinced people it’s worth more then the only value in it is based on people wanting it, not based on anything special it does.

Same outlook was portrayed towards the internet in the mid 90's...
Also same thing can be said about rare cars, artwork, fancy watches, etc. It's a digital variation and seeing how society is headed towards that future, it's here to stay. I'd adopt a positive outlook and embrace the future. You can just as easily become a rich person getting richer.NEVER TIPS CREW

Yeah I only really believe in buying things that have some sort of utility.
You buy the stock of a solid company and that company has real cash flows and you can at least value that company based on some assumptions about that companies ability to generate cash flows into the future above some required rate of return.

For the Internet comparison, the internet offered tons of utility so I don’t think that’s comparable.
Most people who own collectibles own them to own them, not to make money. And if someone decides a digital image with a certain hash is worth $3,000 then I don’t care if they buy it. I hope they enjoy it. I’m just saying it doesn’t really provide any utility and for the VAST majority of people they probably aren’t going to make significant money from it.+positive crew+

To give you an understanding, eventually stocks could be NFTs so in essence that specific share will be uniquely owned by you. Could even go as far as cutting out the brokerage and transacting peer to peer when trading stocks over a blockchain.
May or may not happen and would probably require a bit more advancement in the space, especially since you would own more than one stock, etc. but just giving an example relevant to your post and how the industry could evolve.NEVER TIPS CREW

yep. Make a collection and advertise. May or may not stick but there are a lot of people with money throwing it around on there. You can NFT anything. Artists NFT their albums for example. Gaming companies are using it for gaming stuff.
Or you can flip them. Think ring tones in the early 2000's.
I do for see a bubble popping though. Not because I think the space is meaningless, I just think reality has to set in and the excitement will normalize.NEVER TIPS CREW

When i first heard about nft’s i though the buyer would have some sort of a copyright claim to the purchased work, that doesnt seem to be the case at all and the original owner of the copyright reserves the right to produce multiple nft’s... so wtf?
As per its application to trading, ya idk man... when that becomes even slightly viable in the foreseeable future, ill think about investing, until then its ponzie selling me magic beans as far as im concerned.

That’s not an NFT, that’s a form of purchasing. My house is already one of a kind because it is the only one in this specific location. Correct me if I’m wrong, but NFT only applies to the digital world. How would I NFT a house? There is already title for it, and even if I upload my title and create an NFT for it you still have to go through all the procedures to sell it to another owner. So what would be the purpose of that?

I own nft's on veve. They have 3d nft's you can view in a.r. . They have marvel comics you can read . The brands they have announced so far are disney, DC, usps, voltron, Pixar, general motors, marvel , CBS, and tons more . It's the future of nft's. Stop messing with jpegs. Check out veve. They have a crypto coin also called omi.

It's essentially the digitized ownership of your home. You would upload it to the blockchain and transact there. No need for realtors and the smart contracts would execute all the boring paper work. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just trying to paint an understanding of the space and where it's headed. It won't happen tomorrow, if at all and there's more that needs ironing but the foundation is arguably there.
That's the real muscle behind these protocols though, their ability to implement and execute smart contracts.NEVER TIPS CREW
