    200 calories

    Hi,

I changed my breakfast which now consists of 200 more calories than before. I noticed that I suddenly have progression in my strength every time I go to the gym. Previously i barely made any progress. Even if my strength is increasing my weight is somewhat stable. I was wondering if I hit a sweet spot where i burn fat and gain muscle and the same time?

Or maybe not enough time has passed to measure real changes in body comp or scale weight.

Stuff shifts all the time... long term trends are what count.

It could be possible that you were or now am eating exactly maintenance. That's a good thing to know

Now in order to gain muscle, you need to slowly and progressively add calories to your diet and increase the workload of your workouts with either intensity, volume, or frequency

Well, if you're consistently eating a fixed amount the rest of the time such that a 200 calorie increase in breakfast makes a meaningful difference overall, that makes pretty good sense to me. At that level of specificity though, I wouldn't get too worked up.

500 calorie difference or go home!

    Squat: 405
    Deadlift: 505
