I love to watch Elf and Christmas Vacation as well as the greatest Christmas movie of all time "Die Hard", but I have always despised "A Christmas Story" for some reason. I don't know if it's the script, the characters, the narration or whatever but I just don't like it.

Well I just took 7 foot off the top of Norway spruce that was growing too tall, that'll stunt it for a few years. I've been putting the job off for a couple of months. Now I have myself a Christmas tree

We have been raising two of our Grandkids (now 15 & 7) since 2017 so we are in full Christmas mode. Decorations, school concerts, elf on the shelf, etc. We also try to "adopt" a couple of kids through our church each year so our kids see that even though they have had a pretty tough life, there are other kids out there that have it far worse. They enjoy picking out gifts for them and the little one loves to help wrap. Also the 7 yr old loves Christmas movies so we do a lot of that, especially Home Alone. She/we watch the same movies over and over (ugh)

Although Christmas doesn't feel the same for me, I know it still big for my grandchildren so we decorate, put a tree etc. However for me the feeling died a long time ago.

However the faces on my grandchildren when they open their gifts is the best feeling in the world.

We do secret santa with our adult children and their spouses.

Children really do make Christmas special. When my daughter was aged 8, after I gave the kids the OK to come downstairs on Christmas morning after checking that Santa had visited us, she looked at her gifts and said "see, Dad, I told you this was going to be the best day of my life". I lol'ed.

I'd never seen any of the Die Hard movies until Corbi mentioned them last year. I checked it out and ended up watching all of them.

Leaving in a few minutes to haul out some trees for folks who are unable to get their own. I mark them all year so it only takes an hour or so to cut and drag them out, an easy task that puts a smile on their chops and saves them a few bucks from not having to purchase them. This is a day I enjoy and look forward to every year.

Yep. My kids are 12 and 7. But to tell you the truth, my wife and I celebrated it before they were born and we'll celebrate it after they move out. Christmas was always a really big day for both of our families growing up so it's ingrained in us. Even have a first Christmas and first Christmas in our current house ornaments

Absolutely LOVE the Christmas season. My wife is a little over the top, but it is always fun. I think she does 5 trees. The house always looks so nice and I am always a little depressed after the stuff comes down. Wish it could stay decorated year round.

My wife plays piano also and now has almost 20 students. So I get to listen to piano music while I work. My office is not far from her piano. After her students leave, she always pull out some songs and plays them. I absolutely love it.

Been married 23 years and always bought a live tree. Last week was the first year in 21 years it was just me and her going to cut the tree down by ourselves, was pretty melancholy.

My Wife is only at 4 trees this year. In our living room we have a Christmas Village, the main tree, 6 of those old lighted little porcelain trees, and a doorway adorned with with lights and decorations. Thankfully she started crocheting blankets for gifts so hopefully she's done erecting more energy burning lights for the season.

Omg our tree selection stinks here!
Who wants a dinky 4-5 ft tree but that is what i am seeing as i drive by lots with 18 days to go, oh well.

Can't just go cut your own? I have never bought a tree, I know they do sell them though. I got 10 this year so far 2 for the old age homes and 5 for seniors that can no longer get their own. I was in the bush all morning cutting wood and seen a few nice ones I took note of for next year, if you were closer ben I'd hook you up. Minimum $110 and it goes up each year, i think they bring them in from WVA

gf got hers tonight, 6 ft tall frazier fir.........$140, a decorated wreath for $40 and a 10 dollar dooor hook

The gift of living with someone who plays is hard to explain. I think you helped me out with my anniversary gift idea. I got here the Yamaha upright in the vid. She goes back and fourth playing both. She likes the upright for her christmas stuff because it has more of the sound she remembers as a kid.

Anyway, I snapped this little vid tonight of our decorations so far. She is still not done with all the stuff But I feel like I am in a little village. I like walking out with all the lights on and Christmas music playing.
