In order to lockup your gains during that 183 days you’d have to convert to a stable at which point is a taxable event in the US. So moving to Punto rice is moot. If you wait 183 days after bull (to cash out) it means you lost your gains in the following bear. You’re better of just making best attempt at “paying your fair share” to show you put best effort and get them off your back if the time came.
