Never been, but from the sounds of it, what’s not to like?
1) They seem respectful, quiet and dignified
2) Extremely safe, low crime
3) Cash based society and don’t believe in tips
4) Great and interesting food…I mean sushi for crying out loud
5) Only place that seems to value white foreigners nowadays…even though some places don’t allow any foreigners (nationalistic, not racist)
6) Super advanced toilets (heated seats, built in bidet, different water pressures, music to drown out your intestinal explosions, etc)
7) Would probably be a giant compared to most over there.
Only drawback I can see is you pretty much need to know a good bit of the language. I hear most don’t speak English very well. Have never been abroad, but Japan has moved to the top of my list…mainly because of the safety. Seen too many documentaries of chithole countries taking foreigners as hostages and chit with too much crime and scams. Any misc brahs been there?

Lived there for many years. Incredible at first but after a while it kind of wears off and you start to notice the negative stuff more and more. You'll always be a second class citizen there.
Amazing place to visit or live for a year or two though.

BUT I've heard terrible things about how foreigners are treated. i was told its like everyplace is an asian restaurant where you simply are not welcome and seem like an inconvenience wherein they have to explain everything to you. very few asian people are welcoming unless you literally are going to spend money aka they profit.
imagine an entire society like that...so yeah...but no way.
