If you do indeed do that, make sure to buy three years of xbox Gold for $180..... then you can upgrade it to three years of Game pass Ultimate for a dollar. Then you are set.

Jeezus...so far I'm counting (16) 100% reviews on Metacritic and I'm sure many more to come.

Game is gonna be a masterpiece just like FH4 was. Can't touch any other driving games after playing Horizon.

I do not know that. Apparently they will have more this holiday, but the demand will also be higher.

I have read there are some good twitter pages to follow that give updates on when/where they are in stock. Maybe look into that.

So I downloaded the premium add-on for future DLCs and game let's you play early.

Changed my region to New Zealand and BOOM game started.

About 2 hours in and game in amazing. What a crazy intro!

Graphics and landscapes worth the price of admission alone.

And of course the game is woke as fuk. Only one white male character to choose, has the option to choose he/him she/her etc, your mechanic is a female, and your organizer is a black lady.

Besides that nonsense it's been good bc I've just been driving anyways.

the premium with the expansions is an add on. Similar to Outer Worlds DLC's.

Video game nerds are typically the most lazy and unproductive people on this earth so it makes sense they think the main customer base are lefty subhumans and the developers are NPCs.

Once you get past the first 10 minutes of wokeness though it's smooth sailing. Game is a masterpiece.

I don't play racing games all that much, but I enjoyed a lot of hours (probably 60-80ish) of Forza Horizon 3 (that was the Australia one correct?). I'll probably pick this one up when in drops in price, if anything just to see how it looks on my 3090.

My suggestion to everyone...after the initial intro races are complete and you're given access to online, do a couple matches of The Eliminator. It's their battle Royale mode.

Gives you a good opportunity to learn the new map and driving mechanics. You also earn a ton of points and cars from the post game wheel spin.

I'll be playing today when I get home. I never really played racing games, but Horizon 4 was awesome, and 5 looks too beautiful not to play.

Nice to see the Series X pumping out high graphics like this, gives me hope for the future. I think the best looking game for the Series X will end up being Gears 6. The Coalition are masters of the Unreal Engine, and they are upgrading to the new engine, so we won't see it for a bit.

I won't lie, gamers seem to have one of the absolute worst communities and cultures on earth right now. Just a bunch of turbo-toxic leftists who are so used to being in circle jerking echo chambers all the time that they are completely hostile towards people with contrary views to the point where they continuously double down on unpopular chit because they are surrounded by yes men cheering them on the whole time. Welcome to gaming in 2021.

Yet despite this the woke crap is so minor in this game that it's easy to just ignore it and have a good time. This game is all about cars, upgrading them, tuning them, and racing them. The characters are easy to ignore, and they were cringe the second they gave you the ability to dab after every race.

Gonna be honest I've only been messing around in the battle royale eliminator today.

The map is HUGE.

What's badass is every now and then you're driving and a massive sandstorm pops up in the middle of eliminator.

Game is 10/10 so far. My only gripe is that they seem to have taken away the option on console to change my wheel rotation settings. I usually play on 720 instead of the standard 900 degree rotation

They've managed to somehow make all the characters worse. That annoying American that is on the radio needs to go.

Online race maps are fun as hell. The offroad maps have a ton of jumps.

Everything I have heard about this game is glowing, except for some slight criticisms. Good for MS getting something of this caliber out there. Enjoy racing fans.

love to see this. people who make money on the success of their console are cool with their competition doing well. professional. Wish the overall community was more like this instead of constant warring.

It's only in early access and already has a million players. good stuff, game is going to do really well.

Also, this is the first game to be developed (from the start) from a newly acquired MS studio (playground was acquired in 2018).

They are less and less for me as I get older though, so I do understand.
