    Smile Ultra Marathons

I am currently in the process of training for an ultra marathon at the 100 mile mark. Does anyone have any recommendations for shoes and super foods to snack on that will keep me energized?

Big difference between 20km and >160km. Food become essential, and you have to find what works for you. Eg I was doing fine in training on sports drinks and gels, but 8 hours into the event I reached a point where I couldn't touch another sweet thing for the rest of the race.

See how I start using a Vaseline or Vicks vapor rub usually works pretty well if you are trying to keep the sweat from rubbing holes in your skin
