We started this tradition in high school when we loved to buy huge bags of Jolly Ranchers, Kit Kat and Reese's.

It was completely gone!
Only christmas themed candy remained, i was like wtf?

We had a ton of decorations and about 150 kids. I really needed that! They had so much fun and the costumes were great. Last year we only had around 25 kids. And I live in California where the mask morons are paranoid about Covid.

I also had an awesome time with 100 people dressed as pirates sailing around a wooden ship with sails on Saturday. I’m wiped from the weekend! I need a day off from work to recover. I don’t bounce back like I did in my 20s at 50 lol.

I had a 100-125 kids, mostly little, no covid/medical masks. They were mostly timid though, only 1 kid actually knocked on the door. Only exception was a ~12 year old pirate who was standing with one leg on my porch chair and one on the railing, brandishing a sword. When I opened the door he said something like "I demand some treats for my bag of bounty or off with your head!" There was like 9 other kids on the porch so I couldn't appreciate him as much as I should of - but he was hilarious.

Hope this kid shows up again.

On my my own this year or I may invite my DAV Nephew to come hand out treats. Think I'm going to put a strobe light under my porch to flash through the lattices, think it will look cool and not extremely scary for the little kids.

Can't wait, love all the costumes.

Love Halloween. From being a kid; to regular costume parties as a young dude; to having a kid to take out for his rounds (his too big spiderman outfit that made him trip on the lawns between houses still makes me smile); to being an old guy that still heads out to local establishments to 'appreciate' the costumes of the ladies. I love it all. A good scary movie is hard to come by, but I'm always up for that this time of year.

I tried this one year. It's actually a huge PITA. Everything he wears is purple so you have to find light color stuff and dye it, then no one actually got the costume. I wouldn't do it again.

Bummer about the rain, lol about the Biden Mask, 70 wouldn't be too bad for here we probably got over 100 this year though.

I had a blast, scared a lot of parents, the costumes were awesome, the kids had an amazing time and were very polite and courteous (good job parents)
