Got arrested last night (SRS)

-Fell asleep at the wheel
-cops found vodka in the back seat
-windows smashed to wake me up
-refused breathalyzer
-handcuffed and arrested with reckless driving reduced from DUI (lucky as hell)
-hung out with other inmates, some have been arrested 7 or 8 times. Others didn't make bail and have already been there for days (wtf).
-we all chilled in the waiting room, they gave us poverty sandwiches which everyone except me ate.
-This chit sucks a$$

It had to happen though, I'm not invincible. Gladly gonna say I never want to do that again. Waiting hours to get released after making bond? This ain't it brahs.

If you're open to suggestions- mine is to to volunteer at a traumatic brain injury center in your area. Many people with TBIs got theirs in car accidents in which a driver, sometimes themselves, was drunk.

The cops chose not to ruin my life yesterday. I've always had respect for cops so maybe that had something to do with it.

Florida is allowed to administer a blood test if you are unconscious, even if you have not yet been arrested for DUI. Forced blood draws are also permissible when a person was injured or if you are stopped for the third time for DUI.

They didn't file my DNA yesterday, which was odd...they did take my prints and mugshot though.

If true, this is an EXTREME lucky break. I would take some time to genuinely reflect on how badly this could have gone for yourself and others, hopefully use that motivation to never come remotely close to this sort of situation again.
