    Question Too skinny??

I'm 5'11 and about 125-128 lbs depends on water intake in a day and around 7%bf,and everyone tells me I'm wayyy to skinny but I refuse to accept it because I think it's not that skinny they are just overreacting. First question am I really too skinny and If so what is good weight at 5'11(being 8-9% bf)

Without pics, I'll go with those stats as consistent with almost skeletal in appearance.

If you don't think that's skinny, please see someone about your body image issues...

That is borderline emaciated... yeah... you should gain weight... and if you want to look like you lift, probably need to gain 40-50lb, mostly muscle

Based on your stats, if everyone IRL who's seen you tells you you're way too skinny I'll go with that, and if you refuse to accept their opinions I'm going to guess you'd refuse to accept it if anyone here said the same. No pics necessary.

Do you have problems finding clothes that fit you? If so, that's probably an indication that your body size fits out of the norms of most people, and the clothing manufacturers don't make things in your size. When I was out of college, I knew a guy that was also my height but weighed about 120 pounds. I used to kid him by asking him if he has to buy his underwear in the children's department of Sears.

You should gain fat too. It’s healthy (for you)!

I do have very very skinny legs so I don't have problem with upper body clothes but when it comes to jeans I use wear the smallest number

In my teen days I was pretty chubby kid so gaining weight is not that of a problem, just I neglected my diet the past 3-4 years due to work, I just turned 24btw

Assessing your lifts as a function of bodyweight increasingly favors the lighter lifter, while assessing overall poundage of your lifts without regard to your own bodyweight increasingly favors the fatter lifter; so that if you're anorexic, having lifts in a high ratio to your bodyweight can mislead you as to your current condition the same as an obese person's absolute strength may delude them into believing they are in a healthy condition. That's why there are metrics that account for both of these.

Please eat plenty every day and on purpose. You might be seriously endangering yourself and not able to see it!

Let me kindly ask you if I may, if you are not "too skinny" then what would that even be?

yeah that makes a lot of sense regarding strength and bodyweight.. Maybe like skinny but skinny anoxeric like some people says, also I'm not that into body health but how does not eating enough can cause damage to the body?

Your body will break down organ tissue for energy... ie, it can start eating away at your heart, brain, joints... your immune system doesn't work as well, hormones decline...

OP, this is a bodybuilding forum, where people are looking to get leaner, bigger and stronger. The opinions that you receive will be based on these goals.

That being said is you are:

    1. Happy with the way your look
    2. Have a healthy relationship with food
    3. Are able to do physically everything you want to do
    4. Have regular doctor visits with a clean bill of health

Then do you, and don't worry about what others think
