Anyone switch from PPL to brosplits or something similar?

With being in my 40s and work and kids, going hard on PPL leaves me wrecked. Thinking about switching to a bro split to maintain 5-6 days a week, but reducing recovery pains.

Anyone do this? Did you get better results? If not bro split, what did you do?

Sounds like work capacity issues. If you can handle ppl on your 30s, there's little reason why you shouldn't be able to handle it in your 40s.

If PPL is your thing id suggest the Fierce 5 LULPP 5day program. I ran it for a good year and made progress. Currently running Lyle Mcdonald's specialization 4 day program which I also like.

I did a PPL routine for years. Started at age 47 and now I'm 50. I'm doing something new now, a month in with an upper/lower routine. Age shouldn't matter in any routine.

Switching programs + 'going hard' 5-6 days a week likely to have same result. If you like PPL why not just match your weekly workload in the gym to your recovery ability given current lifestyle?

Good luck mate, hope you find a good solution. Frank Zane has a PPL rotation for more rest days that is nice too, but that is not what ya asked for. Easy to search it up on the interwebs.
