I sympathize with both sides, as I hate the spam too. But the mods do a lot of unpaid labor behind the scenes so all of us can chat and laugh and talk about training. Mods have a real life too, and when they come home from their real job and finish paying their real bills, they have to work again sweeping the floor here, and sometimes find time to train themselves and enjoy their free time.

A useful feature on this site could be to hide certain posts. That way you could hide the spam without having to wait for it to be deleted.

i could also pinch hit occasionally - i mod somewhere else too - and can attest to the fact that spam has gotten 20-30x worse in the past weeks...

Why would you want to? At first I thought they got paid by bodybuilding.com, but found out somewhat recently that's not true. Deleting a bunch of spam all the time and arbitrating ad-hoc arguments doesn't sound fun.

Honestly I just like the community, and some of my first really positive interactions on the site were with moderators. The dealing with perpetual spam seems like a nightmare, but idk. Always appealed to me
