Question... When you order something new why does the seller sometimes give you an option to purchase shipping insurance? When you order, unless you set up the shipping, the responsibility is on the seller to get the product to you. If the package is lost in transit it's on them to file a claim with the shipper to get their money back. On the consumer side if they don't want to send you a replacement or refund your money then you just dispute the charge on your card or paypal or whatever.
Am I wrong?

Bo I thought about what you said re the 15 yard stage...
Spoiler!
Comparing the reload drills,
Stage 3. 7 Yards: 4 seconds from low ready
Fire 1 round, reload, fire 1 round
Stage 5. 15 Yards: 6 seconds from low ready
Fire 3 rounds, reload, fire 1 round
The Federal Air Marshall qual gives you a 3.3 second 1-round-1 drill IIRC. 4 seconds is still pretty tight from concealment. At 15 yards you have 2 additional seconds, but must fire 2 additional rounds. In my case it felt like I was rushing that stage rather than simply missing the shots...I finished it in under 5 seconds but 2 or 3 of the hits were in the C zone. I should have maybe slowed it down because my shots from 25 were alphas.

Let’s see. I think I can do that no problem. I did THE test (25 yards) yesterday cold in 11.something seconds. I’ll head over to the range right now with a box of ammo and my carry gun that’s on me right now and see what I can do.
Was that from low ready? Or aimed at target and start shooting when timer goes off?

Ok that’s a good one.
I brought two mags I had loaded from yesterday. 10 rounds each cuz that’s what I load to when I’m shooting.
First one was slow at 5.74 seconds. 98 score.
Turned it up and did a 90 in 4.04 seconds. My groups were both left though so that 90 could have easily been a 93 if I didn’t pull 3 shots in to the 8 ring. Not sure if that was me or my zero. I’ll have to slow fire confirm at 25 but it was probably me.
I’ll actually bring some ammo and give it another go this week. I like it.

"The Test" is 10 rounds at a B8 at 10 yards. That's literally the name, and has been for many years. It's supposed to be one attempt only. Warmups allowed, but, you get one attempt that you call "this is the one" and it's pass/fail, just a basic competency test that is expected to be passed
Super Test adds 10 rounds at 5 and 10 rounds at 15. Par time officially is one second per yard of distance, but when you're decent, you go for shorter times.
Yes, low ready, but, like, not pointed at the ground, kind of a compressed ready maybe you'd call it? Eyes target focused over the top of the gun. By far my slowest split is always the first shot response
There are two ways of scoring.
Easy way is 90+. Better way is all 10 in the black
It's a great way to compare yourself with one gun vs another gun IMO. If you don't mind 10 rounds getting used up in a snap. Still for carry relevancy probably better to do like two failure drills and a couple pairs with that same 10

A few months ago when we talked about this, I bought some B8s, and some 10 round magazines just to do “The Test”.
And then I forgot about it. Yes. Old.
Just curious, if I recall correctly, “The Test” is 10 shots, at 10 yards, within 10 seconds. Are you guys just using it as a personal challenge to try and keep your time under six seconds?

Some classes and focal points for me next year with my training:
- Red Dot Acquisition. I need help with sight alignment more. May just get a private class with a buddy to help tweak my marksmanship a bit.
- Defending from vehicle. Think car jacking or a road rage incident. All plausible.
- Room clearing. To be honest though I've done a low light course and defensive pistol courses so I'm somewhat confident with my room clearing skills.
After the ECQC class I may get back into BJJ or Wrestling and integrate it in my fitness routineA hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

Just a personal challenge to get the time as low as it will go.
The basic pass/fail is 10 yards/10 rounds/10 seconds "All in the black" with one try that you call as 'this is the one for the money', technically. That's a basic competency to pass with any pistol you possess for fighting/duty/defense/carry

I live almost across the street and I have a membership there so doesn’t cost me anything to shoot everyday if I could afford the ammo.
I barely go anymore with the private range but I like being able to go alone and run specific drills in peace sometimes.
The guys I ahoot with like to shoot a lot of steel, which is fun, but I don’t think it’s always the best thing for training or whatever.

I’ve been watching videos with these GBRS guys and they use BCM guns but with Proof Research barrels. Interesting.
Always thought of them as light hunting barrels but the AR barrels are cool looking. Super thick profile but light because of the carbon fiber. So should be really stiff but still light and I’ve heard they are really accurate.

I never posted this on the misc before, but for all the hype boys that follow Forward Observations, GBRS Group, SupDef, and the likes- I’ve been selling a good amount of these hats.
In honor of the Bills win tonight, I made a discount code “aware” for these hot hitters.

Benz, millz got any night vision rifle quals?
Ours was identical to day qual but the optics were analogous (ta31 vs either 4x litton or 3x lior night scopes). With most guys shooting with lasers or passively through RDS feels like the course of fire should be different. This account was created for the purpose of roleplaying and satire. Paper just shows all the hits and doesn’t lie. Steel is done after a few rounds and needs to be painted. It’s fun for the audible feedback. I’d like to get a full plate rack but they are super expensive.
I have a couple cool ones I’m going to get that are AR550 1/2” which is as good as it gets so you can shoot 5.56 on it close up.

I wish. I don’t have NV because I don’t know when I’d actually get to ever use or train with it. Maybe once a year at a class or something? Hard for me to swallow $10k on some nice dual tubes for that. But I might anyway in January. Long story about that but yea, maybe then.

Hey brothers,
What would you recommend for an open carry holster for a pistol to be mounted in a vehicle yet easy to reach? I drive an older truck with an exposed steering column, but maybe there's a holster that bolts or clips to it? Maybe even with a clamp of some kind?
I live in Wyoming, but I'll be traveling eventually to states with open carry only in vehicles, not to be "concealed". I have family in Nevada, so I'll be driving in Utah to get to there too. I currently have no permits, since Wyoming became a "constitutional carry" state.
