its not legal to use that kind of ammo in AZ for hunting i dont think. but here, you only alloweded one deer a year if youre lucky. most dudes wouldnt want to risk wounding one with non expanding ammo.

These bullets really shine when you get them up to 2800 and above fps. To get that speed with factory load you would probably need a 20"+ barrel though. I'd say your ammo did a good job all things considered.
I've removed many porcupines with 77gr hand loads out of an 18" spr barrel shooting at about 1805fps. The terminal ballistics are pretty devastating and I wouldn't hesitate to use it on whitetail. Unfortunately we can't use semi auto rifles for deer because of boomer fud laws. I've had similar results with 75gr Hornady bthp bullets as well
ETA: I use a 243 for whitetail and never had an issue with 75gr bullets. They're cruising at over 3300fps though. I like the 105gr best for 6mm but I'll use whatever I have loaded up and sighted in at the timeLast edited by OrificeSpunk; 11-30-2021 at 06:36 AM.

A couple years ago it was a different 77 grain load (CBC magtech) out of a 14.5" barrel. Range was a little longer than CQB distances but under 100 yd. It fragmented completely inside of the body cavity, no exit wound.
Interestingly behavior of the deer after being shot was similar...they went maybe 20 yd all in all. 5.56 is actually very effective with good shot placement. Maybe other rifle rounds would drop these animals in their tracks...I have no idea. I'm mainly an archery hunter so that's my baseline performance, and deer can runnnnnnn when hit with arrows.
Oh damn I haven't seen rounds loaded in that bullet weight. Does it require a special chamber due to OAL? I've shot several types of animals with this round...skunk, foxes, deer, and groundhogs. It's performed in every case except the skunk. Not sure if it was a bad hit or just dumb luck but it took several rounds to do the job.Last edited by NuggzTheNinja; 11-30-2021 at 06:49 AM.

I lol at when im playing insurgency:Sandstorm, there's a mode where you are forced to start with an M16. it takes 2-3 well placed shots to put the skinnies down. I remember the black hawk down vets complaining about how the caliber was anemic.

About phones.
I think I’m going to cancel my ATT plan. I’ve had it for like 15 years but where I live it’s awful. I have 1 bar right now in my house and speeds suck. Did some digging on Reddit for my area and that seems to be the consensus as well.
I have Verizon for work and it’s great but seems to be that around here Verizon is best but you pay for it. T-Mobile is very good in the area and the cheapest of the big 3. They are advertising $47 per line for unlimited everything and no speed caps. So might try that. I think all the phones are still back ordered though. I have an 11 pro. I want a 13 pro.

Holy crap at how expensive sight installs have gotten. $75 labor plus sights local, $100 plus sights via HK directly.
Cheaper for me to just flip my VP9 and buy a model with night sights factory. lol480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

Nope. Our night vision goggles were heavy, smelled like bacon, and would blind you if they were hit by a white light source.
Not worth a shyt for fighting, but great for observation.
We had U-shaped flashlights with red lenses. Pretty much only good for reading maps under a poncho.
For the Boogaloo, disregard modern tech…acquire tree flares and Claymores. It turns everything into a turkey shoot.
Or so a friend told me.
