Forums that are either far left or far right are one in the same - they both ban overthink that doesn't fit to their ideology.

I frequented the new r/The_Donald they made sometime last year and it was no different than far left forums/reddit.

Both like to say they are different than the other, but both of them ban you and silence you for not conforming to their ideologies.

There is a huge difference here. Places like r/politics claim to be neutral and then ban or massively downvote any conservative posts. The Donald makes their rules very clear. They straight up say its basically a big Trump rally and of course they are going to ban trolls. The original TheDonald reddit page literally got banned because of people coming in and purposely posting rule breaking content so they could screenshot it before they got banned.

That's a little different because The Donald was a fansite for Trump, not just a right-wing sub. It even said that in the rules, a "Never-ending rally for Trump" or something, so they were pretty honest about what it was.
