    Drastic increase in activity, gaining weight?

    Hi, I recently started a new job where I went from sedentary outside of the gym to very active 12-15k steps daily while lifting multiple 30kg boxes throughout the day.

    Stats: 5'8, male, 28 yrs old, 117kg.

    I've been eating 2100 calories a day and gyming 6 days a week, with 3-4 20-30 min cardio sessions after lifting.

    Now it's only been just over a week but I have put on 1kg (2.2lbs), which should be impossible at my weight with increased activity right?

    My water intake has increased so maybe it's that?

    Increase in activity + water intake, am I just holding onto water and should trust the process?

    Thanks for any help, every TDEE calc has me being able to lose weight at higher calories than i'm currently eating so I don't get it.
