    Squat Form Check

I have recorded my squats from the side several times for my own review. On Monday I recorded from the rear for the first time and thought I would share for any input. I see my knees flare in a little bit which I don't think is terrible but this also wasn't a real heavy set. This was the 3rd set of 225 x 10 and wasn't real hard (RPE 6.5). As I continue to ramp the weight up to the mid and upper 200's over the winter maybe I will record another when I am grinding more on the last few reps to see how it compares.

    Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

I think I saw your knees wiggle side to side towards the end. Probably should have stopped 2 reps sooner.

Your knees did follow the direction of your toes, which is good.

I don't recall if you are supposed to pause at the bottom. You do not. You look close enough to parallel though.

I'll have to watch again to see what else I missed.

    ...

    On second look,

You heals were a bit wider than your shoulders.

I read that your grip should be much closer together than yours is.

Biggest issue: when you stand back up, you are raising your hips before you raise your shoulders, causing your back to tilt more forward. I read you are supposed to raise them together, so your back angle either stays the same or becomes more vertucal.

    Nothing wrong with your squat.
Foot placement and stance is at your discretion, I just prefer to keep my feet straight and wider.
Your hand placement is also different from most, but it's a different kind of bar plus I'm very familiar with, what we called back in the day, crucifixion squats.
    Continue on brother.

100% agree with all of this. Squats look good. I notice that some people have a little bit of knee collapsing no matter what they do. Knees and toes are out, and that looks good to me. Maybe try playing around more with foot placement to see if that helps.

Its kind of hard to see form from the back, a side view is so much better, but from what I can see your form looks on point. The only thing I can't tell is if you are leaning forward.
