Finally started my polynesian sleeve/chest Tat.

Went in and talked to my guy on Saturday. Went over everything and he did a quick marker drawing on my arm to get ideas.

I sent him a bunch of pics too. When the counter girl asked about appointments he said to schedule 3 full days. that's 3 days of 5 hours each which means to finish my sleeve is going to cost me about what a good used car used to cost pre covid. LOL

I couldn't get an appointment before December 3rd either, he's booked that far out.

No the first 2 are 2 weeks apart and the third day is like 3 weeks after the second. Not sure I'd want to sit for 5 hours and then come back and do it the next day again.

Yeah I was told you have to give 2 weeks in between so the skin can heal. My Tat artist is crazy booked!

But I have to say man, with no exaggeration last week I went to the gym and I got like 12 compliments on my tat and this past weekend while I was helping my BIL move I got like another 8 compliments from people walking by.

I just looked and my appointments are December 6 and 19 and January 3. That is just over 2 weeks between appointments.

I can understand the compliments, your tattoo looks awesome so far.

Will do. I am hoping it doesn't take up 3 sessions as he originally said 2 days. The faster he gets it done the less it costs me. lol

Hopefully he'll get at least most of the line work done the first session. There are at least 4-5 elements planned so I'm sure shading will take a while. I plan on it being mostly color and some b/w.

The tiger will be just to the inside of my forearm and the water from the existing ink will continue down and to the rocks he is standing on.

those images are concepts of what I want done. He is going to take key elements from each so won't actually be inking the complete pics on my but will be filling in my entire forearm. He works pretty quick though.

It looks like you have more solid coverage than what I am going to have. Looks like a lot of time spent shading in the black areas where mine will be more line work. Line work goes quicker than shading which is why I think mine will be done in 3 sessions where yours has been broken up into more sessions.

Yeah I am learning the difference about lines and shading and art vs portraits etc.

Its hard to tell becuase she works in different areas, but I took some pics of my whole arm to see what is left. Chest is completely done, but you can see the areas that are still open.

Definitely! It was getting tiring driving an hour and a half out just to get a tat! Can't believe I could not find anyone in NYC who does Polynesian tats

Not till the first week of December unless he has a cancellation. I can't wait to get back in.

Well someone cancelled a full day appointment so I got in yesterday for my first appointment instead of waiting till December.

Sat for just over 4 hours once we got all the drawings set to the correct size and placement. Got a lot done in this session.
