This female bartender seems to have tried to poison the well

I’ve had the bartender a few times at a place I like to eat. Tried to flirt with her a bit but it never turned into anything. She was off her shift with her bf tonight which explains alot. Anyways I was chatting up this female barback that was super talkative with me the last time I was there and she was working. Both times she magically decided the exact spot at the bar she needed to stand to sort glasses was directly in front of where I was sitting (two different parts of a rather large bar to give context). She kept coming over having like 10 minute convos with me then going back to working. (She wasn’t my server and made no tips off me so it wasn’t money motivated). Anyways after the 3rd or forth time the bartender gets her attention looks at me and shakes her head no in disapproval. She brings the girl over to where she’s sitting with her boyfriend and tries to monopolize her attention for a while (probably talking chit about OP). Didn’t seem to dissuade the girl though because she came back two more times for conversations. We have a lot of stuff in common so I don’t know how effective the other girl was. I didn’t ask her out or anything tonight because I was pretty sure the girl would be in her ear in a bad way the second I left. I wanna go back and talk to her again but a part of me wonders what kind of toxic chit she said. Interestingly enough as I was leaving I was chatting up the GM for a minute and the bartender in question came up and gave him a hug. He seemed annoyed to which she replied “what he doesn’t care if you hug me.” Then she turned to me and asked how I was doing. It was weird tbh. Anyways I’m not sure how to make this play out good without the bartender spoiling things.

I definitely tried to get the bartenders number before who was trying to sabotage things.. didn't seem like a good time to do so.
