I'm in! I have wanted visible abs for as long as I can remember. I am the closest I have ever been to this goal and want to lower my body fat percentage. If anyone has nutrition tips that worked for them in lowering body fat, I am all ears! I am focusing on whole foods/minimizing processed foods, and emphasizing protein.

I am in
I have gained quite a bit for the last 2 years so I am going to try this alongside tracking calories and doing the All Pro workout. I will try to lose in next 3 months what I have gained in 2 years pretty much.

The site's been getting a lot of spam like this recently... they post weird generic stuff that might sorta/kinda be related something fitness-y, possibly parsed randomly via AI from actual posts, then they link to random crap either in that post, or in following posts. They don't have to make sense in context, just look human enough to stay up long enough to evade auto-spam protection measures and catch a mark before getting taken down... watch the generic usernames with random numbers and low post counts... it usually makes it obvious what's going on.

I'm in!
Been making slow and steady progress since May/June.
Goal weight by end of year - 170 (adjusted from a previous goal of 180). Average weight loss has been a bit over 1lb per week, we will see if this trend will continue.
Been eating clean(er) and training for a triathalon (swimming, biking, running). Doing some simple lifting a few times per week also.
9/17: 180
--------
Sept 24th: 179.6
Horrendous week diet-wise. Had at least 3 cheat days consisting of takeout. Ran 14.5 miles, biked 25mi, swam 1mi, worked out 2 or 3x.
--------
Oct 1st: 177.4
Decent week overall. Definitely not perfect (cereal is my greatest weakness due to portion control). Also decided no liquid calories (except skim milk - see cereal comment haha). Challenged myself to run 6 days this week instead of just 3 or 4. Felt slightly dehydrated today when I weighed in, so I am probably a half pound heavier realistically.
Oct 8th: 178. Another bad diet week. Gonna start calorie counting. Did first legs session at the gym (hard to run/bike and work legs also). Starting a food diary today to actually track calories in.
Oct 15th: 177.2
Oct 22nd: 175.8. Weight really fluctuating these past few days, thinking im a tad dehydrated. Strained my hip at work three days ago, finally starting to hurt less.

Climbed Mount Snowdon in Wales yesterday, had a plenty of food and a huge pizza when I finally got home. So I can only guess that next week I'll be back down to 88/89kg so definitely giving myself a false start.
Im going to target under 85kg.
I was 85kg at the end of July before my holiday and then covid struck soon after.
So yes for Christmas that target will do as a number.
I want to be stronger than I was then though so I'll be keeping an eye on my lifts.
I wont be walking as much as I did before and focus will be more on lifting weights.
Hopefully I can get to my goal of a bit less bodyfat and be fully prepared for a nice lean bulk after this cut.
Hello to all the new faces! Looking forward to the journey.

Sept 17th: 210.6 (after 2 weeks maintenance)
*********
2 week maintenance ends NOW - it was weird and not my favorite thing (since it was only ~300cal above cut - not really like a cheat session). at start of maintenance i was (208.0) - after one week my weight was still trending down (207.5) - and even 3 days ago i was (206.3) - then this morning i am (210.6) - and i was not eating in a 4,600cal daily surplus during those 3 days water retention is a real b1tc4 and has a very real impact on the scale. yall who may be new (if there are any) remember this during our cut - just a slight change in meds/salt/food can certainly cause the scale to do weird things.
figure i may get a whoosh for next weeks check in since i am clearly holding a s41t ton of water since 3 days ago.
good luck yall - lets kick some fat a$5Last edited by mtnmama; 12-01-2021 at 06:05 AM.

SPECS: 5'10 F, slowly cutting/recomping. Revolving STG: 1-2 lbs loss/week while maintaining/building strength and avoiding binge-triggering behavior
ORIGINAL START WEIGHT: 246 lbs
PROGRESS TO DATE -26/50 lbs
LOSS THIS CYCLE: --- lbs
Sept 17: 220
Up a lb from where we ended last thread. Didn't track this week so I'm not surprised. I was better about being proactive to drink water than I was the past two weeks. Looking forward to more dedicated efforts to get back on top of things... It's been good to have the time off though, just to kind of take stock of what HAS changed since I started eating and exercising better.
Definitely feeling lethargic. Lifts were good this week, but endurance is way down.Last edited by Pennywisest; 09-18-2021 at 01:44 AM.

Up a bit from last thread. Much like others, ate maintenance and spiked (to 229 during mid-week). Even if you're expecting it, it still sucks to see. Leveled out some for weigh-in at 227.5 lbs.
Stats: 5'7 F, focusing on weight loss. Lifting on hold while recovering from injuries. (Was doing AllPros beginners). Currently walking 2-5 km a day along with physio exercises.

Weekend was brutal. Definitely addicted to sugar and junk, currently cutting it all out, even artificial sweeteners, which is rough since diet soda and caffeine is my usual cut crutch. Still having occasional coffee but decaf on days off work, 1-2 cups and only before noon if I have it to help my sleep. Back is improving and I can easily walk and bike, so that helps with cardio. Lifted upper body lightweight yesterday with no issues either. Looking forward to 1 week progress pics and weigh in after general crap diet bloat leaves me (along with some muscle glycogen no doubt since I'm going borderline keto at this point, which I also have had much success with previously).
Posting for accountability so thanks for others who have posted. Keep it up!

Good luck to all of you guys... Unsure whether I should join in separately. I chose Monday as my weigh in day on my own log; keeping two different days is somewhat unintuitive, and posting a separate is dissonant with you all here, so I might stay off.
On track with a solid week's progress so far, however. Good lifts with deficit calories in check.Bench: 350
Squat: 405
Deadlift: 505
