    Bulk or Cut?

    I'm 5'9 170 (176, 77kg) 18 years old and in university. I've been lifting 3-4 times a week for the last month and a half (every other day). I have definitely seen some good gains relative to where I started, but absolutely I am still pretty weak (105 1RM bench). I am wondering whether I should bulk or cut. Obviously I am a bit overweight and definitely carrying some fat. However I do not have much muscle and want to take advantage of the "newbie gains".
    Here is a sample of my last session and a picture is included so as to provide as much data as possible.

    4x8 85lb seated cable row
    4x10 25lb standing dumbbell curl
    3x8 30lb 1x8 25lb seated dumbbell shoulder press
    4x8 80lb bench
    4x8 95lb lat pulldown machine
    4x10 pushup
    3x10 leg raise

    Could be either. You are going to need to do both before decent results are achieved. There is no reason to prefer one or the other from this current point.

    It sounds like you're relatively new to training so I wouldn't cut at this point. You can get some good gains right now and possibly stay at your current BF% at the same time; or very close to it.

    I would, however, increase your rep scheme to 10-14 rep sets instead of the 8-10.
    And what other exercises do you do for your body parts besides what you listed?
