    Am I eating enough

I eat 1500 calories a day and go gym 5 days a week 1 hour and 10k steps daily and I never really feel hungry and I was wondering if my metabolism could be significantly lower because of the fact that I ate about 1200 calories a day for 2 years .

Are you eating enough for what?

    To be skinny.

    To be a Powerlifter.

    To be a Pro Bodybuilder.

    Eating enough for what purpose?

And are you a Male or Female Athlete, and approximate age.

At those stats, I doubt you have enough lean mass to have an athletic physique. I figure you'd need to be 170lbs lean to achieve that.
Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Gotta eat big to get big.

    Define your ideal
And eat to match that goal.

Pics would help but I think you should eat more - slow the weigh loss down or stop altogether for now and focus on progressing with your lifts in the gym - as mentioned, you are going to need to build muscle because just continuing with dieting will not be a desirable end goal. Remember that muscle gain is a slower process than fat loss so this will take some time.

i know everyone is different, but i lost 45 pounds in 9 months by eating an average of 2000 calories per day

well, I would recommend making sure you eat when you get up and after you work or workout, and even have a glass of milk before bed...

whatever it is, i think that would help

OP - i doubt you need to keep cutting right now - honestly - all these smart ppl who already replied to you are spot on.

your caloric intake - was it a guess, or did you spend 2 years weighing (NOT MEASURE) every SINGLE thing (food and drink) that crossed your lips and you followed with a swallow? BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF.

when the guys say you didn't eat 1200 cals for two years - let me make the WHY simple - a deficit of 3,500cals would be one pound lost - if you were 210 and working out as you say - you should have lost an average of just under 3lbs per week during those two years (or ~300lbs). you say you lost 55lbs - which is closer to 0.5lbs per week.

if you don't own a scale - buy one - they are cheap - like $10 (kitchen - not for your body weight)

i am your height, female, overweight, and have 12 pounds more lean mass than you. i would suggest you put on muscle and see what you think of your physique - adding muscle will change how you look - perhaps more than you can even imagine. most things in this world are not a one off - meaning you will likely have a building phase and if still higher bf than you want - a cutting phase - and you might do that 2-10 times before you get where you want to go.

seems like you probably ate in a very mild deficit - like maybe 250 less cals than maintenance per day?

use the sticky below to determine your tdee - and then decide if you will follow the smart ideas already mentioned and eat in a surplus to build muscle - or determine what deficit you need to eat at if you insist on continuing to cut.
