I read the yahoo comments and they were like "yea this is the cheapest new truck available so I ordered one" and gas mileage brought in more sales, not everyone wants a monster bro dozer 4wd, ford made a smart move designing this light duty truck.

I think the best you can hope for is at MSRP. Saw quite a few posts on Tahoeyukonforum.com about scoring at MSRP.

It's mostly a supply demand thing and if production of new cars ever catches up with demand we will see relief. However some of this is just onflation, too much fake money printing recently, so things will never settle back to what they once were.

Considering getting an old beater for a few grand, but also intrigued with the new 2023 telluride that was just revealed. yall check that out, looks awesome.

Pulling the trigger on this brahs despite a bit of a markup right now, the alternative is to rent for another 6-8 months and eat those costs then pay (hopefully) MSRP for a new ride. This makes a decent amount of sense considering the circumstances and risk of more supply issues or price increases to come

Yeah I have a fully loaded interior Cayenne GTS and the GV70 and 80 compare well with it. The seats are actually comfortable and not only look that way. And the big thing I notice like you say is the fit and finish. Look at a Porsche them look at a Lexus interior (no hate I like Lexus)...the materials, zero plastic, knobs are real metal, gaps and seems are perfect, etc. The Genesis is all pf that for sure. I am part owner of an engineering firm and we recently did a Genesis dealership and the owners were showing me the SUVs and their big full size sedan and I was blown away srs.

Speaking of Lexus I am considering taking a job where I'd do a lot of driving with a personal vehicle and am for the first time in my life thinking a good luxury CPO program may be worth the extra cost. Lexus does 6 years with unlimited miles from first date of service for their CPO vehicles. I could grab a 2 year old Lexus and put 200k on it over 4 years without worries.

If you are putting on a bunch of miles that sounds tough to beat. Find a 2 year old leas/corporate/demo and that sounds like a plan. Lexus CPO program so good because they are fukking bullet proof.

The Hyundai performance is on par with anything else tho. Probably on par with base Geam cars. I did not drive but I think they told me they have a sport mode that is pretty peppy?

For sure and the sedans are a different story, but the GV70/80 aren't on the same performance level as Porsche and the much more expensive competitor SUVs with 500-600+ hp

id say so, looking at total cost of ownership even at todays prices still makes sense to pay it for a toyota product. ****ers run forever especially the v8 models so the overall cost/mile of ownership is still close to what the avg car was back in the 00's.

Just buy a new one at sticker. Lexus holds its value very well. You are not saving a whole lot or probably paying more by going the CPO route LOL.
