Who among you sits your azz down on the couch with an almost-empty PB jar and just spoon-feeds yourself instead of trying to spread it out (pun intended) over the next day or two?
I have a weird thing about seeing an amount of PB left in the jar that I know I can consume in a sitting before getting tired of it, and not being able to avoid just eating like a tub of yogurt.
Im pretty sure I had like 3 servings remaining, and it quickly become a side-dish to my stir fry last night...
"Meh, I can finish that"... I thought to myself.
Am I weird, or do ya'll have a similar 'just finish the last of the jar' mentality around some foods? Like ice cream, cereal, etc...

When there's almost no PB left in the jar...

I have this with everything that I like. We never had any left overs before I started counting calories.
Just curious, what’s a «serving»? For me 50 grams is one serving of PB, lol. I put it all on a banana so that the entire banana is covered with pb and eat it with a spoonThe first principle is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the easiest person to fool.

Well with PB its an unwritten rule that I must share the last with my dogs and give them the jar once I cannot easily get more out woth a spoon. The jar(plastic) is then completely clean in 5-10 minutes.
I do this with a lot of things as well as someone else mentioned.
I also follow in the footsteps of my mom, who was overweight, but you rarely ever saw her eat a meal. As a kid I barely saw her eat a meal, because she was always cooking, then serving everyone’s plates and then checking on everyone and then taking people’s dishes and doing the dishes etc(7 kids in house). It wasn’t until later on I realized she ate quite a bit while “tasting” all of the things she was cooking. And she would usually finish everyones leftovers as she didn’t want food to go to waste.2 time survivor of The Great Misc Outages of 2022

Literally just happened to me. Buttered up my toasted English Muffin (use lots of butter, Kerry Gold, it burns fat, true story) & had just a bit left.
Thought I could give to dog..but too much for that,
I could use all of it, would probably just be waay to much & kill the whole lil meal,
or save it for tomorrow morning & just use it on half..I did this one

Cottage cheese, I get the pink tubs at Costco, and I’m like oh there is maybe more than I would just normally put on my plate but….. I’m not leaving half a serving in this big tub.
Cereal if there is only two servings left in the box or roughly I just finish the box and berries too
If there is just a bit of milk left I’ll just drink it and throw out the jug too
Oh and hummus definitely sit my butt down cut some extra cucumbers and eat itLast edited by snailsrus; 08-19-2021 at 11:38 PM.

I looooove hummus, as long as it's not too loaded with lemon. Some brands use way, way too much and it comes out super acidic... not good.
There was a local company in Seattle that made the best hummus I've ever had but I haven't seen it in stores for a while
It was really creamy and earthy tho... amazing stuff."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"
