Yeah, my bad guys. I got this mistaken with the low row machine (Hammer Strength, I think), which is an upper back/rear delt exercise and simply misread the name. Whoops. I'm aware of upright rows and do them occasionally.

I find it interesting that although the traps are on the posterior chain, you get only the upper using the behind the back upright row, as opposed to the entire trap being stressed when done in front of you(according to exrx). Why is it that a front loaded lift is better for a body part located in the rear than a rear loaded lift? Range of motion on behind the back not allowing for more of the trap to be used?
