I have an old and dear friend who is completely caught up in the Q nonsense. Dude has a MS from Cornell and genuinely believes in some of the stupidest shyt I have ever heard. No exaggeration. His wife sends me walls of texts explaining what all the Q's Clues mean and why he/she/they/CHAOS/Q/Gandalf or whoever has been wrong about every single thing it has ever posted. I used to think Putins' folks were Q, but then I read the ridiculous stuff that they believe and I know its not Putin.

Anyway, I feel bad for most of them. Not all, by any means, but a good many. Nonetheless, they would have been machined gunned in most countries and no "patriots' would moan and cry at all.

Also, any person who was specifically there to thwart the democratic process is automatically, by oath, the enemy of all military in this country. Any member of the Active, Reserve or Guard forces who did so is subject to execution. That is the law and I understand what a Law and Order crowd that was, so there should be no complaints if we start lining traitors up against the wall.

I watch news and more from several different western countries etc everyday and this is just a narrative being drawn up across the board that the right is somehow less about human rights or any rights or values at all etc...but nothing is ever specified or exactly defined as to what this means or any examples or evidence given. To me, it seems we all care the same about these things to the same degreee.....it's just that one side has been given free reign through the dominance of media to paint the other side as the devil, in an ever increasingly and aggressive way, and a great portion of the viewers are just swallowing up whatever is presented.

I'm honestly looking into the possibility of going east, possibly living in a country that recently got it's freedom and truly appreciates it. I hope I'm wrong but see much of the same playing out all over the west and think it will eventually end up in some sort of western civil war the way everything looks with censorships, criminal decay in major cities, mass influx of mid east cultures, and just about everything turning more centralized/totalitarian. Eventually passive ppl on the right will have to say enough is enough and what happens then?

What form it then takes is hard to say but probably various groups clashing rather than regular joes on the street. The problem is that one side will not sit down and calmly discuss and figure things out, but have already decided the "truth" of every matter beforehand and act almost like a religious cult condemning those who do not believe the same and attempt to disqualify opposing views by calling people nazis, conspiracy theorists etc. So any meaningful debate/conversation is shut down from the start, and if some does arise it is swiftly taken down and censored.

Seeing it mainly play out on social media and platforms doesn't make it less serious for me since this is where ppl exercise their free speech, organize and share ideas today. Several alternative news channels were shut down over here as well in the last few years (once in a big sweep after leftist ministers had a closed meeting with big tech executives), and ofc it just makes many ppl angry. Some nations are taking action now against the big tech censorships, but only a handful. The few ppl of the old establishment over here that have spoken their mind in a critical way over certain issues have been frozen out, had hit pieces written on them, and can no longer get the same type of job offers they once did. Everything is connected now. In terms of pure hatred, that might be from a small number of fringe people which doesn't affect everyday lives of most, but this is not the decay I focus on here, but rather freedom of speech (and other issues) for a large portion of the voter base in various western nations. That's not really a trivial matter or something happening to a few loonies. Some aspects of it may have gone further over here since our legal protections are not as great, and many have been fired or excluded from unions simply because of how they voted.

I would have agreed with you in the past about the tech companies, but they have become so large and important to communication and free speech that being excluded from them can be devastating and obviously skew election results. They do have a sort of monopoly and probably didn't end up being these giants purely by having a superior offerering.

Several other aspects you don't have to worry about but that we get through the EU also keeps adding to this ever growing stew of less freedoms, boiling hotter each year. Just one example is that our head of state signed on to take a giant loan, putting our future generations in debt..to then, thru the EU, redistribute it to other countries like Spain and others who are in turn looking into universal basic income for their citizens.
