My folks are all from the country. They grew up eating dirt srs. They say the red clay dirt was sweet. They used to put it in zip lock bags and take it to school for lunch. This is before pesticides and all that chit. Used to be able to just pick food right off the trees and eat no fks given

I used to live in red clay country and that chit is not sweet lmfao. I didn't eat it on purpose but I have passed out and woken up with my face in it so I got some in my mouth. Also that stuff stains everything you own orange, turns slicker than owl chit every time it rains, is piss poor soil that only grows grass/pine trees and ruins house foundations. I can't stand red clay
