Yesterday I was going to grill some hamburgers. Was getting everything together and realized I didn't have any round buns to stick my meat in between. I found some hot dog buns that were left behind from some spring break visitors. They were a little hard, but would suffice. I had to roll my meat into sausage shaped forms so that they would fit between the buns. Let's hear your stories of what you've had to do with your meat. Keep it boring, this is supposed to be a boring forum.

Burger dogs, I like that idea!
I'm going to try it but I'm going to try mixing a pack of Taco Meat Powder into the meat along with some white onions and make Taco Dogs.
That way I get some Veg and some added flavor.
I'll probably have to mix the taco powered with a little water (or maybe a little Mexican Beer) to make it mix good.
And if I wanted to get fancy I could put a little trough down the middle of the meat and put some cheese (and Salsa) in there and then seal it all back up.
I like this idea, Burger Dogs, and Mexican Burger Dogs.

This thread is funny to me though. I grew up poor. We usually didn’t have hamburger buns or Hot Dog buns übles it was some holiday or special occasion. You know what fits perfectly around hamburger patties? 2 slices of white bread from the Wonder Outlet day old section. Slap a slice of government cheese on it and some ketchup and you’re golden. Know what fits around a Hot Dog? A slice of white bread. Though on really cheap Hot Dogs the first slice soaks up all the grease so sometimes you need to add a second slice. When I was a kid I thought it was fun to press the bread into like a white shell. On Hot Dogs squeeze it with your fingers so it leaves indents for your finger grip like those custom pistol grips lol

Did anyone else in this thread make “Hot Dog jerky” in the microwave? Basically you take a Hot Dog and stick it in the microwave and cook until it starts crackling and turning crunchy. You have to experiment to find the right power level and time, but once you get it right they turn out crispy exterior (almost like pork skins)with a slightly chewy interior.
