Its crazy to think that medieval knights had armor but no UnderArmor, and today we have UnderArmor but no armor. Its like the company UnderArmor is just a few hundred years too late.

And interestingly enough, not until well into the high medieval period did the vast majority of knights have significant amounts of armor at all, while the full suits of plate armor in the popular icon are pretty much entirely from the late 15th and 16th centuries, arguably past the medieval period proper.

Exactly, and such restrictive activewear was why for those 200 years deadlifts, RDLs and other DL variations fell out of favor at gyms all across Europe.

As long as we're talking about fantasy movies from the 80s with armor in them, do you like the original Conan the Barbarian (1982)? I know it's cheesy but I love it.

Henry V (1989) is also an awesome (and legitimately historical) medieval-set movie from the 80s with armor in it.

I love the original Conan movies. I also really liked Beastmaster, and krull. Yor Hunter from the future was a bit cheesy. And if we are namedropping, i met Lou Ferigno once at my gym, when he was doing an ad for Polaris equipment, my gym was one of their showrroms. Super nice guy.

I kind of forgot about this thing I had but I got it at a garage sale and thought it was cool. It was this bar set that looked like a helmet to a suit of armor. But where the pointy mouth piece part stuck out, you grabbed the point and pulled it back and it folded in half backwards. The bottom section then had a spot to place a bottle and 4 cutouts for shot glasses, all wrapped in red velvet. It was like this super cheesy set from the 70s that was so cheesy it was cool. No idea what happened to it however. Lost in some move.

we have bullet proof vests but not in the kitchen. Why would they be in the kitchen

Did it look like this? If so, it may be in my possession at the house with a suit of armor. There is a combo record player, 8 track player and radio on the other side with a faux fireplace on the bottom.
