    Potatoes vs Flaxseed.

Each potato packs a megadose of blood pressure-lowering potassium — even more than a banana.

Flaxseed is loaded with plant omega-3s, which are good for your heart health.

Round 2: Brown rice, Cherries, eggs, tomatoes, walnuts, apples, steel-cut oats, salmon, spinach, Scallops, olives, oysters, strawberries, lentils, sunflower seeds, black beans, bananas,

I don't think this one is going to be much of a contest. Potatoes.

There are oddballs in every crowd. Someone is probably going to say "I don't consume any food that grows underground or in darkness because of my religious beliefs. Satan comes from darkness. Potatoes come from darkness. Potatoes are Satan."

Or "the larvae in potato skin disqualifies it from my heavily advertised vegan diet, whereas flaxseed does not have any insects burrowed inside of it."

Actually if you've ever bought flaxseed online and read the reviews, lots of them complain about things like spider webs or insects inside the bag.

Had no idea but can easily believe it.

One time, I forgot about a bag of potatoes on the floor of my pantry for several months. Eventually they not only rotted, but literally liquified, but since the bag was out of sight and nothing moved it, only at this stage was the smell evident. There were centipedes crawling around on the potatoes. Being dirt-borne creatures anyway, I assume these are probably the bug eggs people are eating with their potatoes.

Wild ducks can develop sarcocystis in their meat. It looks like grains of rice. Probably 1 out of every 50 ducks I shot had them. I toss them if I see them. I'm pretty sure I've eaten them when they were too small to see with the naked eye. Proper cooking kills the cysts.
