We are back again!
12 weeks, anyone is free to join in at anytime.
Starting on the 25th of June post your current weight, post your goal and then weigh in each week and push towards that goal.
Feel free to post pics when you start to hold yourself accountable and give you that extra motivation to make a change.
Remember losing body fat doesn't always mean losing weight on the scales so don't beat yourself up!!!

I'm somewhere around 127-ish lbs, but I haven't weighed in awhile. I'll take a fresh reading on June 25th and minus 10 lbs from there will be my goal. I turn 41 on Sep 3, so that's some extra motivation!
STATS: F, 5'5", 40
My comfortable weight is about 117. Have gained about 10 pandemic pounds.
Non-scale victory will be to comfortably fit into my work pants.

June 27 Notes:
Weighing in a bit late, and I weighed in clothed, so I might be a half pound off. Am also in the week before my period, so it's likely I'm retaining somewhat. Would expect some water weight loss in about two weeks. I haven't really been tracking what my normal weight change is with my cycle though, so I hope to get some info on that by tracking during this challenge.Last edited by bodunkle; 06-27-2021 at 12:04 PM. I am in as well! The last thread helped me out a ton with accountability. Started at 224 on 18 May and last week was down to 205 lbs. Looking forward to dropping off the belly and being more healthy!
I am going to shoot for 190 lb goal by the end of this challenge!"Killer of Fat, Builder of Muscle"

I went up around two pounds from last week but every lift at the gym has also gone up. So not beating myself up too much about the weight. Just have to take a step back and understand I am probably gaining a little mass and holding some more water since my diet has been good and cardio decent.
Looking forward to seeing everyone make progress this summer!!

my current next goal is under 200 early fall - might not make that by end of this challenge - just cutting and adjusting and learning to be consistent

This should be interesting. I just dropped my crossfit membership due to lack of interest and the general hate of running and burpees. The home gym build process has started.

Having water weight making me have a dirt this week. Earlier this week I was down to 234 but today I’m at 238 to start this thread. As mentioned before been drinking a lot of water, Gatorade and mineral water to make it thru the heat here in Houston TX. Lunches have been not happening since I did not want to get sick. Being old overweight and out of shape is rough. Hopefully I’ll be able to start posting better numbers.

Gonna blame flo and bread for this week... mostly bread :P Also switched up my push workout this week because I got bored. I know from history I hold 1-2 lbs when experiencing upper extremity DOMs and I definitely am sore. Set 3 PRs for my pull day this week. Recovery work for busted ankle continues to tick me off but I am doing it.
Madscubafool, I think you're on the money with your assessment of what's going on. Enjoy the gains, weight will come with down with gentle persistence.

Goal is to shed 10lbs, weight is up from last week as I had a week off tracking calories to let my mind and body recover a bit.
Its been a long 9 months and very taxing.
Ready to go now though, cut down my days in the gym so I can get 2 walks in each week as I'm training for a 24 mile endurance hike over 3 huge hills at the end of July and do not want to end up on the injury list.
Calories will be up and down whilst training for that hike as my body would hate me if I ate less than 2300 calories yet walk 20 plus miles training that same day, the deficit would be way more than 500 calories.
I Will certainly need a lot more but have to make smart choices..
We will see.
Good luck everyone!
