Hey everyone. 43 male here. Suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage back in late April. I was in my basement and had bent over to grab a couple of tools and got the worst headache I had ever experienced. I don't get headaches. Should have called 911, but called the girlfriend who rushed to my place. Was super sensitive to light and ended up heaving in the toilet in the dark. I was able to get settled for the night and sleep a bit. Woke up the next morning with what I would describe as a hangover headache, but felt pretty good. Decided to get checked out anyway. Well Dr. ordered a CT and they found a tiny amount of blood on my brain. Ended up getting shipped to another hospital neurology department for a couple nights. Never lost any motor or speech function, so not a stroke. No cause was found and it was determined to be a spontaneous event. I had not been weightlifting since February 2nd. Dr's would so glad I came in as many people get the bad headache and ignore. Dr's stated then a second event occurs and the outcome is not favorable the second time.
Has anyone else in this forum suffered a Subarachnoid hemorrhage? If so what was your overall prognosis for you and getting back to weightlifting?

Sorry to hear man! Very scary stuff!
I haven't experienced it myself. I have worked with a few patients who had the experience (but I'm a mental health provider, not a medical provider). There is only one thing to say to this: work closely with your doctors and follow their guidance! It's never too late!
