    Body composition scales is the muscles function accurate

    I have a body composition scale, it shows me how much muscle mass my body has.

    Question is will the muscle mass function on my scale be accurate enough to use to measure my progress in the gym?

    Is this something you think I could use to measure my progress or do you think it would be better to use something else if so what would you suggest

    camera, tape measure, scale, workout journal with a record of your progression. Also, women that you hardly know start touching your upper arms and shoulders, that's a good indicator.

    I no its not accurate but if it goes up is it still something to measure your muscle mass and tell if your going in the right way

    You are experiencing "Post Purchase Dissonance". You made a purchase and now you are wondering if you did the right thing. Now you are trying to justify or accomodate the purchase. That is normal consumer behavior.

    Lol maybe your right haha i just looking for easiest way to see i am gaining muscle i no my arms have and my legs are getting stronger but i don't have a bench only dips and not sure my chest is growing

    combo of scale, tape measure and skinfold. for skinfold the more sites the better, make sure you're properly hydrated and avoid trans fats (they make the fold less pliable and bodyfat hard).

    not so much to measure actual bodyfat percentage but to see progress relative to your previous measurements.

    if with a tape measure and on the scale nothing changes for a month but you see that your iliac, pectoral and calf mm have gone down you'll know you've lost bodyfat. mirror helps but there are many variables involved with that month to month i.e. body hair hides definition, tanning may make you look leaner, lighting, etc.

    No, that means your hydration has changed, nothing more. So you have both random and systematic errors to deal with.

    Bodyfat is very loosely correlated with hydration levels - but the relationship is so vague that I would dispute that they should even be allowed these to claim that these devices can measure bodyfat.
