Hi everybody!
Sadly, me and my husband tested positive for covid. Our symptoms were very mild. We only coughed a little and lost our sense of smell. We haven't had any fever or low oxygen saturation.
Next Tuesday I'll be able to go back to my normal life. I'm feeling well, and I want to start working out again. Shall I slow and steady? Can I try working out as before covid? I've heard several opinions and read different approaches. I didn't have anything in my lung nor heart.
What can I start with?
Thank you

If you've only paused your training for a couple weeks or so, then just get back to it as before. If it's been months, then ramp back up over a couple weeks to avoid serious soreness that could slow your return. DOMS is normal but you should take it easy if you've had a long layoff and it's going to be so bad you can't work out again for several days.

I would do a full body workout your first day without pushing yourself too hard on any individual set. If your heart rate starts getting unusually high I would stop. If you have no heart issue then see how you feel the next day; if you feel good you'll probably be in a good place to go back to your usual workouts the next session.

I know a few people that've been having trouble getting back to their pre-covid training levels (especially regarding cardio and high intensity/heavy lifting).
Listen to your body, don't force yourself, don't expect to be exactly where you left off and you will be fine.
But definitely start moving again.
Let us know how it goes.
