are dumbell rows and deadlifts enough for back

I can really only feel my lats during dumbell rows, and if i do lat pulldowns or any pulldown I feel pain in my lats. Can I only do dumbell rows for good back?

It depends what you mean by "enough". If you get better at those exercises then you will definitely strengthen your back but in my opinion isn't enough for full back development. You want to hit your back from different directions and angles. Deadlifts, bent over row, pull ups, Yates rows and dumbbell rows are all exercises I use for my back. If you can't do vertical pulling then I think you could definitely do well with rows but you would need different variations of rows to stimulate the full back

Work on pullup/pulldown form? I'd say at least one row, pulldown/pullup, lower back exercise and bent over lat raise/reverse pec deck would be ideal.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Why do you want to limit yourself to only a few exercises?

Once you get past newbie gains, deadlifts aren’t gonna do much for your back.
