New users with a join date after May cannot view or access misc at all. To access and view misc you need an account with active misc posting before May.

If you log out of your bb account you can look at the forums and it’s like misc does not exist. It is completely hidden.

Only try that if you have your password to get back in though. Otherwise you will be locked out too lmao.

The changes seem nice, however, they may be the heralding of the end of misc. If no new members and the wacky loony component, which was crucial to misc being misc, is no longer allowed, then this place will slowly suffocate to death.

We will have allowed Wincel to kill the misc. Imagine the sheer joy he will take in that, the memories of his long con victory, as he is harassing some stack exchange or quora thread in a couple years, or writing long incoherent responses in leftwing reddit subforums.

The streets are a bit safer for now, but at what cost...
