Anyone familiar with the Adidas Power Perfect 3 lifting shoes

    https://www.roguecanada.ca/adidas-po...metallic-coral

They come in orange in black , so they match my gym too boot . Looking for a good shoe for squats . Preferably something that elevates your heel more than running shoes.
I also have a 3 E foot unfortunately, so that narrows my choices . After reading reviews,it was mentioned this shoe works for people with wide feet , so this may be a winner

Ive been looking at shoes too. I've read the Do-Win classic offer more width so you might check them too. I was going to try a set of Do-Win's because they're a pretty good price. Rogue's shipping though just kills it. I'm going to try a set of Romaleos from a local Sportchek. Way more than I wanted to pay, but I can try on and return with little effort. Just a thought.

    PS. Sweet gym

Edit - glad I tried sportchek first. Too narrow but I should have gone 0.5 size up. I have ordered the do-wins now from rogue and will left you know my thoughts. Even after shipping and tax the do-wins are $100 less than Rom 4s

I have a pair of Adipowers, just use them for heavy squats, they are really good and I have wide feet, typically wear zero drop shoes with wide toe boxes. I can't speak to the power perfect version.

Mine do not match my home gym, can't say that thought would have ever crossed my mind, the home gym pic next to a pair of shoes made me lol

I think Adidas is better for wide feet. I'd say just get them from somewhere with easy returns like zappos or something like that. You'll know right away after putting them on if they'll work.

I strictly use them for squats. I work on my ankle mobility pretty often, I've gotten better with it, but they help for sure.

    Question

You say you want your heels elevated. Why?

I thought when it comes to squats you want the force vector to be evenly distributed along plantar surface of your foot and not skewed to forefoot.

    Am I misinformed?

They are to compensate for a lack of ankle mobility, allowing you to get much deeper with less ankle mobility. I have one bad ankle from a football injury that makes it difficult and it helps a lot. I still work on more mobility, but it's never going to be what it should.

You can use squat shoes or a heel wedge, shoes are more convenient IMO.
