Thanks for proving my point. The Golden eagle is a damn anomaly among men, the result of putting almost all your skill points into one attribute.
Not sure of any other bodybuilders that replicated anything close to that, but I’m sure there are some mass monsters who have.Age: 30

He was the first. There have been tons of guys with bigger legs, but his hold up even to today cause his separation is other worldly.
But in terms of how the 500 for 23 stacks up to other bodybuilders it isn’t that great. Justin Harris did 600 for 15. Hollingshead and akim rep 675+ easily. Johnnie morant would rep 700. Hadi is doing the same.
But again platz wasn’t even in his prime for that set. In his prime he would’ve far exceeded 23

Is that the 600x15 set you're talking about?
500x23 with full depth is way, way, way stronger than that
vs
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x4, 345x1
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 185x8, 195x5, 215x1
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

I don't really have a favourite, I dread them all lol.
Years ago dead lift was my favourite, but now I have a dodgy lower back, which I'm nursing right now actually after dead lifting at the weekend, so it's just not something I can do effectively any longer.
So I'd perhaps say pull-ups, on the basis that not many people do them, and 3 years ago I couldn't do a single rep (I can now do them weighted). It's also the one exercise that becomes easier on a cut lol.
If your form is strict I'd say that's pretty impressive. I'm 190lbs and can do 50kg for about 7 reps. I imagine 60kg I'd get 1-2 reps max. But overall I've always looked stronger than I am, but been a bit on the weak side for reasons unknown.Last edited by MrCarrot; 06-06-2021 at 11:36 AM.
