Ever get surprise food at work?

Today the clinic I work for brought in 2 meat/cheese/fruit/nut platters for all the employees to snack on through the day. Grazing tables. Here's a pic of one after it's been picked on for an hour. The clinic fired 3 ladies on Wednesday, and now they are springing on the 2 platters.

Some of the doctors in this clinic are vegetarians. I guess they placed the order to please everyone's preferences. Funny thing though, most of the ladies here that eat meat look like cows.

Are you referring to me or to the other posters in this thread? Remember, since February of this year I've had toilet water, dog treats, raw beef steak, snapping turtle and food from that grazing table.

well I guess the grazing table is not that bad then. Would freak me out. I don’t trust people to wash their hands after using the bathroom

If you touch and/or lick all the pieces first then it makes you immune to anyone else's germs that get on them later.

Mirin. Do you rarely experience any gi distress or get sick?

I wish I was one of those people with cast-iron stomachs. I can handle any amount of spice without even the slightest gi upset, but fatty foods or anything with even a small amount of bacteria have destroyed my gi tract ever since I was a kid. I even got cholera once when I was in India & I swear it's been forever worse since that happened as well.

Had GI distress one time this year. It was when I tried eye of newt for the first time. Stomach ached for about 10 minutes, then went away. No more eye of newt for me.

I found a frozen Canada goose breast in the bottom of my freezer a few months ago in a ziplock filled with water before freezing. It was labeled in 2017.

I help run a fundraising event for wild ducks every year. Ducks Unlimited. The capacity of the venue is 275 people and it sells out in advance. We sell it by the table. A table seats 8 people. It's $1500 a table. It's mainly out of state companies doing contract work at a local refinery that buy the tables.

We have 24 feet of grazing tables. 3 8-foot dining tables. The money raised goes to improve breeding habitat of waterfowl so that there are more ducks hatched each year.

Its for the ducks to graze on, basically tables full of crackers. Hence the phrase table crackers

No ducks. Just shrimp, meats, cheese, fruits, veggies and crackers. Attendees are rednecks like me. There are usually 50 firearms that we auction or raffle off away, plus a whole bunch of other stuff.

I don’t know what that has to do with any besides massive health code violations. I volunteer to feed homeless people and It would shut down to serve people food in that way
