The F-22 Raptor has 70,000 lbs by comparison, and the F35 has a measly 40,000 lbs of thrust.
What this means is that the Chinese will be able to use much more powerful power hungry radars, better avionics, super cruise at much higher speeds, much higher altitudes, and at for much longer distances compared to any other fighter plane in the world.
The 88,000 lbs of thrust with full afterburner and thrust vectoring also helps in the ability to outrun missiles by evasive maneuvers that drain the missiles of most of its kinetic energy. It seems like China has recently passed Russia in terms of ability to create reliable aircraft engines. China is already FAR FAR ahead of countries like Israel and Brazil that are incapable of making their own aircraft engines and rapidly closing in on Western European and American Defense Contractors.
China is very close to being able to make Aircraft larger than the C-5 Galaxy.
